The village of Skočice is located in the Strakonice District of the South Bohemian Region, approximately 8 km northwest of Vodňany and 15 km southeast of Strakonice. State Road I/22 runs through the village, connecting the aforementioned towns. It has a population of 228. South of the village lies the Skočický hrad Nature Reserve, which extends around the 666-meter-high peak of Hrad.
